Our patent-pending Robot Autonomy Index (RAI) is a 0–100 scoring system that measures how truly autonomous a robot is. It goes far beyond spec sheets to evaluate real-world independence.
The RAI scores every robot across four pillars — Navigation, Obstacle Avoidance, Automation, and Maintenance Independence — then combines them into a single, easy-to-understand number. A robot with a RAI of 90+ can genuinely run itself with minimal human intervention. A robot scoring below 50 still needs significant babysitting. The RAI makes it immediately clear what you're actually getting.
